Privacy Policy for VR Applications
This Privacy Policy applies to virtual reality applications developed by Alessandro Gabbiadini, researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Milano-Bicocca, and distributed through platforms including Meta Horizon and Meta Quest.
This page describes the data practices specifically associated with these applications.
For general information concerning the processing of personal data by the University of Milano-Bicocca, users may refer to the official privacy information and policies provided by the University.

The applications covered by this Privacy Policy do not collect, store, transmit, or otherwise process personal data from users.
In particular, the applications do not collect:
- names or surnames;
- email addresses;
- Meta usernames or Meta account identifiers;
- demographic information;
- location data;
- contact information;
- behavioral profiles;
- advertising identifiers;
- payment information;

- information generated through the user’s Meta account.
The applications do not require users to create an account or provide personal information in order to use them.
User Activity and Application Data
User activity within the applications is not transmitted to or stored on servers controlled by the developer.
Any information temporarily required for the normal functioning of the application is processed locally on the user’s device and is not collected or retained by the developer.
Meta Quest and Meta Horizon Data
The applications do not request access to, collect, or store personal information associated with the user’s Meta account.
Certain technical or device-related information may be processed independently by Meta Platforms Technologies as part of the normal operation of Meta Quest devices and the Meta Horizon platform.
Such processing is carried out by Meta according to its own terms, privacy policies, and platform practices and is not controlled by the developer.
Analytics, Tracking and Advertising
The applications do not use:
- third-party analytics services;
- advertising systems;
- tracking technologies;
- profiling systems;
- behavioral advertising;
- external user-monitoring services.
The developer does not receive analytics or personal usage data relating to individual users of the applications.
Data Sharing
Because the applications do not collect or retain personal user data, no personal data collected through the applications are sold, shared, rented, or disclosed to third parties by the developer.
Data Retention
The developer does not retain personal data relating to users of the applications.
As a consequence, there are no personal user data stored on systems controlled by the developer that require a defined retention period.
Data Deletion
Because the applications do not collect or store personal user data, the developer does not hold personal data that require deletion upon request.
Any application data stored locally on the user’s Meta Quest device can normally be removed by uninstalling the application, subject to the standard operation of the Meta Quest operating system.
Users who believe that personal information concerning them has nevertheless been provided to the developer may contact the developer using the contact information below.
Children’s Privacy
The applications do not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.
Because no personal information is collected by the applications, no user profiles based on age or other personal characteristics are created.
Use of Meta Quest devices and the Meta Horizon platform remains subject to Meta’s applicable age requirements, account requirements, and terms of service.
Research Use
Some applications developed by Alessandro Gabbiadini may also be used in scientific research contexts.
When an application is used as part of a scientific study involving the collection of research data, participants will receive separate and specific information regarding the processing of personal data, informed consent procedures, data retention, and the purposes of the study.
Such research data collection is separate from the standard use of the application distributed through Meta Horizon and is not covered by the statement that the publicly distributed application itself does not collect personal data.
